部品の技術的進歩により可能となるブレッドボードでの演奏
技術の進歩は，携帯電話やカメラなどの製品だけでなく，電子部品の世界にも日々確実に起こっている．その結果，必要な部品数が以前より少なくても済む場合が多くなってきた．たとえば，マイクロコントローラは，メモリやクロック発生装置等の部品を別途用意する必要があったが，今ではICの中に組み込まれている．当然，機能も大幅に強化されている．マイクロコントローラ1つで電子楽器を作ることが可能である．ブレッドボードは実装が容易である反面，大規模な回路を作ることが難しいという欠点があるが，このような技術的進歩により，ブレッドボード上に電子楽器を構成することが現実的になった．
